Wow, and “The buck stops here.” I control my thoughts. I control my emotions. In the future when I am tempted to ask the question “Why me?” I will immediately counter with the answer: “Why not me?” Challenges are gifts, opportunities to learn.”
That was the end of the decision #1 the Buck stops here… now for decision #2
“I will seek wisdom.”
Off to see King Solomon…
I really like how you end each lesson by making decorations with “I” statements. Which I would call affirmations.
If you don’t know I am a Tony Robbins fan, I listened to some of his audio tapes back in the 90’s (to date myself).
Tony Robbins is a well-known motivational speaker, author, and life coach who has helped millions of people around the world to achieve their goals and live their best lives. One of the tools that Robbins recommends for personal growth and success is the use of affirmations.
Affirmations are positive statements that you repeat to yourself to reinforce a desired outcome or belief. The idea behind affirmations is that by repeating positive statements to yourself, you can reprogram your subconscious mind to believe them and act accordingly. This can help you to overcome negative beliefs or thought patterns that may be holding you back and to achieve your goals with more confidence and ease.
Tony Robbins often recommends using affirmations in conjunction with visualization and goal-setting exercises. By visualizing yourself achieving your goals and repeating positive affirmations to yourself, you can create a powerful mindset shift that can help you to overcome obstacles and achieve success.
Here are some examples of affirmations that Tony Robbins might recommend:
When using affirmations, it’s important to choose statements that resonate with you and feel true to your beliefs. You should repeat them to yourself daily, preferably in the morning or before bedtime, and visualize yourself achieving your goals as you do so. Over time, you may find that your mindset shifts and you begin to believe these positive statements more fully, leading to greater success and fulfillment in your life.
So the underlining decision #2 “I will seek wisdom” In the same format as I did in the last article: linked here if you missed it… go back and read it…
“I will seek wisdom” means that an individual is committed to learning and growing, and will actively seek out knowledge and insight that can help them to become better at what they do. For teachers, coaches, dads, and athletes, seeking wisdom can have different meanings and applications:
In all of these roles, seeking wisdom means being open to new ideas and perspectives, and actively seeking out knowledge (that is why I have been trying to do podcasts the past four years) and insights that can help you to improve and grow. It requires a commitment to learning and a willingness to continually strive for excellence in your chosen field.
