2026 South Dakota Middle School State

Registration will close at 5:00 PM CST on Friday, February 6, or earlier, if the 500-wrestler limit is reached.
Important reminder: Per the SDHSAA & SD Middle School State Tournament Committee, wrestlers participating in SDHSAA High School Wrestling Region events are NOT eligible to compete in this tournament.
Weight-class split sessions will be announced after the registration deadline to help balance participation. This information will be posted on the SD Middle School State Facebook page and, if possible, on the USA Bracketing site.
Please refer to the attached flyer for complete tournament details. Coaches may request off-site weigh-in forms from Dustin (contact information is listed on the flyer).
AAU or USA Wrestling cards are NOT required for this event.
When registering, please list the high school team the wrestler will compete for or eventually feed into. Do NOT register under a wrestling club name or middle school name.

Quote from chalk on February 5, 2026, 11:09 amWe are asking that any parent, guardian, or coach with a registered athlete who will not be participating, for any reason (illness, injury, schedule conflict, etc.), please notify us as soon as possible.We currently have an extensive waitlist, and timely withdrawals allow us to offer those spots to other wrestlers who are eager to compete and have been waiting to hear if they will get that chance. Even last-minute notifications are helpful and appreciated. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us accommodate as many wrestlers as possible.
