Quote from Dakota Grappler on December 15, 2024, 6:04 pm@120 slater wilson pinned minder, yeah this weight class not good..
120lb class is a mess. Hagen should certainly be ahead of minder who is 4-6....
Gossen 13-0 probably should be in dynamite dozen vs Randall whom Gossen just pinned while winning the rc Invite... Rehorst wrestling 113 and getting 3rd this weekend not to mention he has no accomplishments in comparison to Randall and Gossen.

Good evening sir I just wanted to ask you a few questions about the recent rankings. To start I defeated the Pierre kid that’s honorable mention by 6 I pinned the other Pierre kid that happened to pin Lewis from Watertown and me and grayden timm were in the blood rounds of varsity 175 while tunge, green the belle fouce and sf Jefferson kids were beat out before hand.
just figuring it out and looking forward to next weeks rankings

Quote from 3moves on December 15, 2024, 9:31 pm4 x 215s in the Dynamite Dozen......uh.....ok? Do what you want but it's hard to take that serious. No offense to the heavier weights...but the bulk of them aren't great wrestlers or even technically sound, let alone what would be considered the top 12 wrestlers in the state. 215 is not what i consider "loaded", because its not.
And if you want me to name 4 better wrestlers:Oedekoven, Ketelsen, Wells, Hurd, Wilde, Dirk, Rehorst

Gossen 13-0 probably should be in dynamite dozen vs Randall whom Gossen just pinned while winning the rc Invite... Rehorst wrestling 113 and getting 3rd this weekend not to mention he has no accomplishments in comparison to Randall and Gossen.I’d frame it differently: the 120lb class is highly competitive, which makes it tough to compare athletes early in the season—especially since rankings are just for fun.
As for Rehorst, let’s not downplay his accomplishment. Placing 3rd at the Council Bluffs Classic is no small feat. This tournament featured 16 ranked wrestlers @113 across 45 teams representing IA, MN, NE, KS, MO, and one South Dakota team. It’s a grueling format where you must finish top 2 in your pool to even advance to the main bracket. There’s no wrestle-back, so to place 3rd, you must reach the semifinals before losing—exactly what Rehorst did. If you lose earlier, the best you can do is 5th, meaning some kids go 7-1 and still finish outside the top 4. Nearly half of every weight class included ranked athletes from the some of the best wrestling states in the country.

Hot take but kids should be less worried about where they are ranked and more worried about winning matches.

Quote from dan on December 16, 2024, 9:35 pmHa ha ha. Oh my. People, these rankings are for fun. If you don't like them come up with your own rankings. All you people making these negative remarks, take a deep breath and listen to yourself. Truly listen as to what you are saying on something that is just done for fun. Jesus you guys are are ridiculous.
