Just an observation, here are the numbers of girls from each region that are ranked in the top 8.  I think something here needs to change.  I know all coaches talked about and were in favor of a north and south superregion, but apparently that didn't happen.  I am sure there are some 5th girls in region 4 who deserve to be at state but because they are in a STACKED region, they wont make it.

Region 1 - 17
Region 2 - 19
Region 3 - 22
Region 4 - 38

Weights with all 4 girls ranked in the top 8

Region 1 - 0
Region 2 - 0
Region 3 - 0
Region 4 - 4

Before the rankings put in which girl was from what region there were a few weights with 5 girls rated from region 4 and one or two with 6 rated from region 4 also

I understand in principle. But when we are pulling from both A and B for only 4 state spots it's still not great. I bet region 4 has twice as many girls as some of the other regions. That kind of number disparity isn't seen in the boys.
