The Walker boy's dad is an assistant coach in Canton, Kendricks's dad works on this side of the state, Bartel's family is from Canton, Zach's dad wrestled for the C-Hawks. Aiden Schremp also has family in town, the Giedd kid wanted to come here when he was an 8th grader but I don't believe there was room for him at the lower weights. The Kranz family lives in town, Granum lives on an acreage between Lennox and Canton, so which school would you want to wrestle for and Richmond's family is from Canton, he worked in Onida for a couple of years and then moved back to Canton

I see both sides of the picture here.  Same thing happens to Sturgis in the A's.  Same thing happened to BV years ago in the A's.  As an up and coming wrestler in South Dakota they probably want to go to the best schools.  Iron sharpens iron.  As long as South Dakota has open enrollment rules, this will continue to happen.  I don't fault any of their teams for their success on the mat.  They earned it and the rewards of a successful team is some kids are going to want to transfer there.

I guess some program should offer Gage Lohr's dad an assistant coaching position real quick... Who from Canton ever finished ahead of Conner Giedd?  They didn't have room for him?  Sounds like there may have been some communicating going on?
