I agree 100%. Why so many limitations on out of season competition. I know a couple years ago someone tried to put together an event similar to Night of Conflict. The activities association wouldn’t allow it to happen. If they won’t allow an event like that here why not let the kids showcase their talents other places. Everyone keeps saying let kids compete but when events like Night of Conflict happen the kids are told no.

There have been two other threads on this laying things out. You could do A vs. B in the summer with some restrictions. Yes there are some rules to protect other sports during their seasons. There has been at least one SD kid compete in this. Maybe instead of people posting how SD wrestling is held back, take the initiative and speak with the Activities Association, the advisory for wrestling, other coaches, wrestling people, etc. figure out how to make something work, then do it.
