Thank those who helped you along the path of success. I thought about what would a high school wrestler try to say when he is giving his final senior speech at maybe the end of the season awards banquet… Why not give a small template to follow: Here is my small gift or effort at giving a speech.
Dear friends, family, and members of the wrestling community,
I stand before you today with a sense of pride and accomplishment, reflecting on the thrilling journey we have shared together over the course of this high school sports season.
I want to start by congratulating our determined wrestlers, (tell short success story) who have grappled their way to victory time and time again. Your relentless pursuit of excellence in every match, and your unwavering drive to win the big matches, have been truly awe-inspiring. You should all be proud of the unforgettable moments and victories you have secured this season.
Next, I would like to extend my gratitude to our outstanding coaching staff. Your expert techniques, your unwavering support and guidance in the heat of battle, have been invaluable to our wrestlers. Your passion for the sport and for helping our players achieve their full potential on the mat is truly inspiring.
I would also like to thank our families, who have been our biggest supporters in every match. Your love, encouragement, and sacrifice have made all the difference in helping us secure the victories we’ve achieved this season.
Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to the our school and community for your support and enthusiasm. Your cheering and energy at every match, and your support of our wrestlers, have had a profound impact on our players and teams.
As we come to the end of this season, let us celebrate the pinning combinations and technical mastery we have achieved together, and look forward to what the future holds. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for all that you have done to make this season one for the books.
Thanks, Go (School name or Nickname)
Bring out your personal side by smiling and looking around the room find your coaches faces and your parents, because that is who should matter the most when you speak.
Feel free to use, adjust, dissect apart and make it your own… I hope everyone has enjoyed this wrestling season…
